Hemp CBD vs. Marijuana CBD
The difference between hemp and marijuana is a little confusing because they are technically the same plant (cannabis sativa). However, over the years we bred these two separate plants, hemp and marijuana, to have completely different characteristics and so they are now considered different plants. The hemp plant producing mainly CBD and has a more robust stalk, which is good for collecting hemp fiber for different products such as clothing, paper, rope, building material, etc. The marijuana plant has large plant ovaries or "buds" that produce the majority of the THC. While CBD can be derived from both plants, we only extract from industrial hemp plants, and therefore TruestYou products contain absolutely zero THC.
